Juan M. Bernal, M.D., MSc.
Juan Bernal graduated from medical school in Bogota, Columbia he came to UAB to earn a masters degree in physiology and biophysics. Juan then traveled to Detroit for three years of internal medicine training at Henry Ford Hospital, followed by three more years of cardiology training at Wayne State University in Detroit. He then took one additional year of training in interventional cardiology at Mass General Hospital in Boston. He is expert in interventional cardiology, nuclear imaging, and echocardiography. We are delighted he has joined our group. He will be working primarily at the St Vincent's Birmingham office and hospital.
BOARD CERTIFICATION:
2005 - Board Certified American Board of Internal Medicine.
2008 - Level II Certification: Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT)
2009 - Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology.
2009 - Board Certified Interventional Cardiology.
